Neul Labs builds safe data infrastructure for the agent era. We make OrmAI and ship it inside companies that take production agents seriously.
What we believe
Most "AI safety" tooling is downstream — content filters, jailbreak detectors, output classifiers. We work upstream of the model: the place where the agent's actions actually touch user data, money, and state. Get that interface right and the rest gets dramatically simpler.
What we work on
- OrmAI — open-source policy runtime for agent database access. Python and TypeScript, MIT licensed.
- Custom integrations for teams shipping agentic products that need to be safe by construction, not just safe by audit.
- Threat modeling and audits for engineering and security teams looking at agent–data risk for the first time.
Who we are
Dipankar Sarkar is the founder and primary author. Background: 18 years building backend systems and developer tools across infra startups and large platforms. Strong opinions about typed APIs and audit logs.
For larger builds, a small bench of senior contractors plugs in — same standards, same code review.
